Swivels
We talk about the different type of swivels that are in use today and the characteristics of each of them.

Swivels

A swivel is a perfect way for an angler to set up their line when they think either they will be changing hooks often or they want to use different types of bait throughout the day. A swivel is a device used to attach two lines, a line to a lure, or a device to prevent the twisting of the monofilament itself. Even though these are relatively cheap a bass fisherman should purchase ones manufactured by the quality names in fishing such as; Berkley, Mustad, Drennan, and Smapro. The reason for this is unbranded imitations are generally unreliable and can refuse to turn under stress which can lead to the loss of you set up or worse your trophy bass.

Types of Swivels

       Barrel:
These types are the best choice for general purpose fishing. Their firm design has always guaranteed me long term use.

     Ball Bearing:
Since there is a small ball bearing inside the unit, this type offers a freely rotating twist which is one of the essential pieces in any type of trolling.

      Link:
This type of swivel is a sort of all purpose swivel which gives the ability to freely and efficiently switch the setup.

     Big Game:
Very reliable since they combine heavy duty ball bearing swivels with the snap construction.
